Learning extends far beyond the classroom at Monclova Christian Academy. We believe every student has unique God-given talents and abilities that should be cultivated for His glory. Through opportunities in the arts, leadership, service, and extracurricular involvement, students are encouraged to discover their gifts, develop new skills, and grow in confidence and Christlike character.
Whether performing on stage, creating works of art, serving in student leadership, or participating in academic organizations, students are challenged to use their abilities to honor Christ, encourage others, and make a meaningful impact within our school and community.
Music Education
Music is an important part of life at Monclova Christian Academy. Students begin developing their musical abilities through classroom instruction in the elementary grades, with band beginning in fifth grade and continuing through junior high. In high school, students may choose to continue their musical growth through elective band and choir opportunities, using their talents to glorify God and encourage others.
Art
At MCA, all elementary and junior high students participate in art as part of a well-rounded education that encourages creativity, exploration, and self-expression. Students develop foundational skills while learning a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and creative processes.
In high school, art is available as an elective course, allowing students to continue developing their skills and explore their individual artistic interests at a deeper level.
Leadership & Achievement
MCA encourages students to develop leadership skills through opportunities to serve, collaborate, and positively impact their school community. Students have opportunities to participate in student leadership through organizations such as student government and National Honor Society, where they grow in responsibility, service, and character while representing the values of MCA.
Students are also recognized for their academic achievement through the Honor Roll, celebrating their commitment to excellence, perseverance, and a strong work ethic.
