Statement of Faith
Established in Scripture. United in Christ. Living for His Glory.
The foundation of Monclova Christian Academy is the unchanging truth of God's Word. As a Christ-centered school, we are committed to the authority of Scripture, allowing biblical truth to shape our beliefs, guide our instruction, strengthen our community, and direct every aspect of academy life.
Our Statement of Faith reflects the core biblical doctrines that unite our faculty, staff, and school families. These convictions provide the framework for our mission, our teaching, and our desire to educate students who know Christ, love His Word, and live faithfully for His glory.

Scriptures
We believe the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is the very Word of God. We believe the Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, are truth without error in their original writings and are the final authority for faith and practice.
The True God
We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in every divine perfection and work together in harmony in the work of redemption.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with God the Father and God the Son. He convicts, seals, guides, teaches, sanctifies, comforts, and empowers believers for Christian living and service.
Satan
We believe Satan is a real being who was originally created holy but fell through pride and rebellion against God. He is the adversary of God and His people, the author of false religions, and the deceiver of the world. Satan and his angels will ultimately face eternal judgment in hell, prepared for them by God.
Creation
We believe in the literal account of creation as recorded in Genesis. We believe God created the world in six literal days and rested on the seventh day. We believe mankind was created directly in the image of God and reject evolutionary explanations for the origin of man.
Man
We believe man was created innocent and in fellowship with God, but through voluntary sin fell from that state. As a result, all people are sinners by nature and choice and are under condemnation apart from Jesus Christ.
The Virgin Birth
We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man, the eternal Son of God.
Salvation
We believe salvation is entirely by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Christ died in the place of sinners, bearing our sins through His death on the cross, and rose again victoriously from the grave. Salvation comes through personal faith in Jesus Christ and the new birth, which is an instantaneous work of God and not a process. We believe all people are called to respond to God’s grace by faith. We believe those who are saved are eternally secure through the power of God.
The Church
We believe the church is a congregation of baptized believers united in faith and fellowship around the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The mission of the church is to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and teach God’s Word. We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of Christ’s sacrificial death.
Eternal Life
We believe there is an eternal distinction between the saved and the lost. Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in heaven with God, while those who reject Him will spend eternity separated from God in hell.
